The World’s Easiest Paleo Lunch or Paleo Snack

For those of you who don’t have time to cook a Paleo lunch every day here’s what I follow if I’m not eating out. It’s dead simple, requires zero cooking, and the only preparation is buying the three ingredients, which you can get from any supermarket.

Step 1: Choose and buy an item from each of the three lists.

Paleo Take-out Meals

If you eat out at restaurants or have takeout often then staying Paleo can be difficult, but with a little easy preparation you can stick to Paleo meals when not cooking at home. I often have take out or eat out when I’m busy or tired, and searching for Paleo restaurants or a paleo meal at a restaurant can seem too difficult, and so it’s easy to go for a non-paleo option. Here’s a simple strategy to avoid going for non-paleo meals, especially when you’re on the run or exhausted.

The key to takeaway or dining out paleo meals is being prepared, but it only takes a few minutes to create a list of paleo friendly meals.

  1. Open up Google maps in your web browser, and do a search on your address. If you’re compiling a list of paleo lunch options for during the week then this would be your work address, or for easy takeaway paleo dinners at home then input your home address.
  2. Zoom in until the screen shows about 500m or so in each direction from your home or work address, or however far you’re willing to walk or drive to pick up a paleo meal. Keep in mind that if you usually order takeaway when you’re busy or tired you should err on the conservative side and keep this distance low. Continue reading

Start with a Paleo Breakfast

Switching your current breakfast to a Paleo breakfast is the easiest way to begin transitioning to a diet of Paleo meals. Switching to any diet is difficult as it requires you to make changes to your behavior. We’re all used to eating quickly and then getting on with the rest of our lives. Our lives are busy and stressful enough without trying to design and create a new meal 3+ times per day. Switching to a diet like the Paleo diet that requires significant changes and restrictions to what you can and can’t eat is especially tough, as you need to come up with new meals and recipes that adhere to your new dietary regimen.

A very simple way to start making inroads on the paleo diet is to start with a simple paleo breakfast. For many of us breakfast is habitual and does not change a lot. There are some delicious paleo breakfast recipes that can be made very quickly and taste great! Making the change to a paleo breakfast is relatively painless. It’s just a matter of selecting something quick and easy that works for you and your tastes. Here’s a suggested paleo breakfast, and of course you can modify it to suit your needs.
